LINCOLN — The Central Plains High School boys edged Plainville 49-43 in Friday’s semifinals of the Amos Morris/George Stephens Classic at Lincoln High School. Central Plains met Ell-Saline in the championship game.
Layne Bieberle scored 17 points and Michael Ryan added 12 points. The Oilers outscored the Cardinals 29-12 in the second and third periods.
Plainville’s 6-foot-5 Hadley Gillum scored 18 points, but made 3 of 9 free throws. Plainville made 10 of 22 free throws and converted five 3-point goals.

LINCOLN — Reagan Phelan scored 18 points to spark Central Plains past Ellsworth 56-47 in Friday’s semifinals of the Amos Morris/George Stephens Classic at Lincoln High School. Central Plains (3-0) met Ell-Saline (2-1) in Saturday’s championship game.
Central Plains’ Kendi Maxwell scored 16 points and converted two 3-pointers. Breanna Holmes added 12 points.
Rachel Herzog (14), Halle Connally (13) and Connor Davis (13) scored in double figures.
