JUNCTION CITY— Kerby Depenbusch recorded a second place finish in a time of 16:29 at Saturday’s cross country invite at Junction City.

“It was a great day for a cross country meet with low temperatures and humidity and very little wind,” said coach Todd Kaiser.

Eric Vasquez polled a 29th place finish with a time of 17:57.

Other boys’ results from Saturday’s race:

Isaiah Davis; 32nd place in a time of 18:12
Armando Jaquez; 36th place in a time of 18:28
Chandler Miller; 59th place in a time of 19:49
Jeffery Muiruri; 63rd place in a time of 20:10
Anthony Martinez; 64th place in a time of 20:11

Individual JV results:
Logan O’Neil; 50th place in a time of 20:58
Jonas Meeks; 51st place in a time of 20:54
Rodrigo Miranda; 75th place in a time of 22:12
Nate Dawes; 88th place in a time of 23:11
Alex Banda; 90th place in a time of 23:24
Eli Hutchinson; 96th place in a time of 24:55

“The boys came out and put together a much better team performance.  Our three to seven runners did a much better job competing today,” Kaiser said. “Isaiah and Chandler both ran their season best times and Anthony tied his season best time. Between Kerby and Eric we had too large of a gap but Eric knows what he needs to do and I’m confident he will get back to form over the remainder of the season.”

In the girls race Karen Razzo medaled with a seventh place finish and a time of 20:29.

Other girls’ results from Saturday’s meet:

Paloma Sandoval; 34th place in a time of 22:33
Ema Millard; 48th place in a time of 23:28
Autumn Weingrad; 54th place in a time of 24:37
Angela Enriquez; 55th place in a time of 24:50
Calista Long; 56th place in a time of 24:52
Amelia Sommers; 62nd place in a time of 26:08

Individual JV results:
Rurh Reyes; 22nd place in a time of 25:08

“Our girls team has been decimated by injuries over the last couple of weeks,” said Kaiser. “That being said the girls we had competing today did a nice job.  We had four of them who ran their season best times and the girls who ran on the varsity did a nice job competing.”
