SALINA — The Great Bend High School girls’ tennis team finished fifth out of eight teams with 40 points on Thursday evening at the Salina South Invitational.
In the doubles competition, Macy Moyers and Morgan Francis claimed second place, and Brianna Schartz and Jami McVay combined for third.
“We put all of our power in our doubles teams,” Great Bend head coach Shannon Schartz said. “We took second and third in that, and our singles players took 12th and 16th, so most of our points came from doubles.”
Jessica Freund finished 12th, and Kara Bunn took 16th in singles action.
