OTIS — It was a team effort for the Ellinwood High School Eagles.
They had four players in double figures during their 59-40 victory over Otis-Bison on Tuesday night.
Senior guard Patrick Ringering led the Eagles with 17 points.Kyle Blakeslee finished with 15, Gavin Vink added 11 and Derek Ward scored 10.
Dylan Wissman led the Cougars, scoring seven of his 14 points in the first quarter.
Kole Urban put in 12 points, and Jordan Hoffman scored 10.
Otis-Bison hosts La Crosse on Friday night, while Ellinwood hosts Mid-Central Activities Association foe Thomas More Prep Marian.
Hutchinson Trinity 37, Larned 34
HUTCHINSON — Larned’s offense struggled to get going against Hutchinson Trinity on Tuesday evening in boys’ non-conference basketball action.
While the Indians defense held the Celtics to an average of under 10 points per quarter, it wasn’t enough.
Brayden Smith led Larned with nine points.
