Four area student-athletes receive MIAA Excellence Award at FHSU

HAYS— Former Great Bend Panthers Kaylie and Kelsie Doll, Ellinwood’s Michelle Miller and Larned’s Jessica Johnson were recently named to the MIAA Academic Excellence Award list for the spring 2015 semester.

Freshmen Kaylie and Kelsie are both members of the Ft. Hays State women’s track and field team. Both sport a 4.00 GPA and are majoring in radiologic technology. Miller, a senior, plays for the women’s tennis program at FHSU and also maintains a perfect 4.00 GPA. Miller transferred from Barton Community College last year and is majoring in elementary education. This is the second time Miller has received the MIAA Academic Excellence Award. Johnson, a freshman and also a member of the women’s tennis team, is a communications major with a 4.00 GPA.

Five other FHSU student-athletes joined the Dolls, Miller and Johnson.

The Academic Excellence Award goes to student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average.
