GBHS has eight All-WAC selections

The Great Bend High School bowling team placed eight rollers on the All-Western Athletic Conference teams, four on the boys’ teams and four on the girls’ teams.
Dakota Conaway leads the Panthers as the WAC Player of the Year. Eric Ruiz joined him on the first team, while Mark Lang and Daniel Herrman each were selected to the second team.
The Panthers closed the season with a second-place finish in the Class 5-1A state meet, losing by 13 pins to Goddard-Eisenhower.
All of the Panthers from the state team are expected to return next season.
Mirand Hejny and Jacy Quade were first-team selections for the Lady Panthers.
Maddie Roach and Erin Bowers both were second-team selections.
Head coach Mike Perry was Coach of the Year for both the boys and the girls.
