GBHS takes home first

The Great Bend High School bowling team traveled to Liberal on Monday to compete in the first Redskins Baker Tournament.
In a Bakers-style tournament, the first team to win three games advances to the next round.
The Lady Panthers continued to dominate, finishing in first by defeating Garden City, winning three games to none. Great Bend past Dodge City, winning the fifth and final game to advance to the championship match.
Jacy Quade led the Lady Panthers with a 590 series.
The Panthers set a new team record, rolling a 2,618, led by Dakota Conaway.
The Great Bend boys finished in second place, losing to Liberal in four games.
