GARDEN CITY— The Great Bend Middle School eighth grade football team improved to 3-0 Thursday with a 30-6 victory over Garden City Ken Henderson in the first road game for GBMS. The Panthers totaled 287 yards of offense. Gage Fritz recorded a 38-yard touchdown run in the victory and added an 84 yard kick return into the end zone for good measure. Dalton Miller had a pair of big scoring runs for Great Bend including 60 and 70 yard hauls. The Panthers converted all four of their two-point conversions.
Meanwhile the seventh grade Panthers dropped a 22-20 heartbreaker to GCKH Thursday. Brayden Holley scored on a 90 yard run while Miguel Martinez scored from 85 yards. Jacob Kennedy scored on a one yard scamper while Abner Chavez posted a five-yard touchdown reception.
