Great Bend boys win Salina JV track meet

SALINA — Great bend’s double-winner Jesus Sanchez swept first place in the 800 (2:17.53) and 1,600 (5:04.54) to lead the Panther boys to first place in Monday’s Salina Central junior varsity track meet. The Panthers scored 144 points to beat runner-up Dodge City (97).
Other individual winners were Dalton Miller, 200 (24.81); Nicholas Wondra, triple jump, (38-0); and Alex Randolph, pole vault (9-53/4).
The Panthers’ tandem of Gage Fritz, Miller, Sam Ryan and Korbin Widiger won the 400 relay (46.39). Ryan, Widiger, Evan Hammond and Collin Hammond won the 1,600 relay (3:52.87).
Great Bend’s Molly Kaiser won the girls discus (88-33/4).
