Great Bend’s boys JV golf team opened their 2015 campaign on the home links on Monday at the StoneRidge Country Club.

Six teams competed in the one-day tournament including Great Bend, Hays, Garden City, Hutchinson, McPherson and Hoisington. Garden City notched a first place finish with a team score of 193 while Hays and Hutchinson rounded out the top three finishes with scores of 198 and 215.

Great Bend’s Andrew Erb led the Panther effort with a score of 51 placing him in the top 10 medalists category. Jackson Randall and Jared Divis also competed for Great Bend with scores of 59 and 63 respectively.

Garden City’s Jordan Neri was the top medalist finishing the afternoon with a score of 41.

The Great Bend JV will visit Buhler on April 14. The Panther varsity will open their season on April 11 at Garden City.
