SALINA— Nick Reed posted second and third place finishes in the long jump and 200 meter run and helped lead the 4X400 relay to a second place slot at Monday’s jv track and field meet hosted by Salina Central.
Out of 11 teams in competition, the jv boys placed eighth with 42 team points. Dodge City won the boys division with 154 points. On the girls side, the Panthers finished in tenth place while Dodge City took the crown.
Reed’s leap of 17.8 ft. in the long jump resulted in a silver medal while his time of 24.59 placed him in third in the 200 meter. Reed teamed up with Kyler Merten James Bacon and Israel Valenzuela in the 4x400 meter relay for a second place time of 3:58.19.
