McPHERSON — The Great Bend High School boys’ track and field team captured second at the McPherson Invitational on Thursday evening.
The Panthers scored 137 points to fall behind McPherson, which finished with 154.
The Lady Panthers took fifth place with 69.5 points.
The Panthers had three individual first-place finishers — Kole Stiner in the 800-meter run (2:06.11), Chris Burley in the pole vault (14-6) and Jayce Brack in the discus (158-7).
Selam Ball was the lone first-place finisher for the girls’ team, winning the pole vault (9-6).
