GODDARD— Grant Harris concluded an impressive career for GBHS with a 2-2 split at Friday’s state meet at Goddard.
Following a rain induced delay, Harris opened up play defeating Shawnee Mill Valley’s Jenson McCabe by scores of 6-2, 6-2. Harris then faced the second seeded Zachary Hampton of Salina Central and fell 6-1 and 6-3 placing Harris on the backside of the bracket. He quickly recovered and made quick work of Clay Feldman of St. James Academy in a 9-0 shutout. In his final match as a Panther, Harris played a back and fourth outing against Pittsburg’s Logan Benham and fell 9-7.
Harris finishes the season at 25-4.
