HOISINGTON GIRLS 45, CHAPMAN 42 – Maleigha Schmidt, Isabelle Gonzalez, Jocelynn Pedigo and Iris Suarez converted free throws to preserve a 45-42 basketball victory over the Chapman girls Thursday. Pedigo also drew a charging foul against Chapman.

Pedigo broke a 42-42 tie with the game-winning free throw for the Cardinals (5-8).

CHAPMAN BOYS 54, HOISINGTON 50 – Chapman’s Taylor Werner converted two free throws to clinch Chapman’s 54-50 non-league basketball victory against Hoisington (5-8). Hoisington’s Drew Nicholson and Mason Haxton enjoyed strong offensive games.
