HOISINGTON — The Macksville High School cross country team competed at the Josh Emerson Invitational meet, along with St. John, Central Plains, Otis-Bison and the host.
The Mustangs were led by a third-place performance in the girls race from Lisa Penner, who turned in a time of 17 minutes, 59 seconds.
Anna Penner backed that performance with a sixth-place finish at 19:26.
Otis-Bison’s Anndrea Kraisinger took 12th place (20:43).
Jacob Faulk of St. John took fifth place in the boys division at 19:34.53.
Kade Cook took seventh place in 20:16 to lead Hoisington.
