HOISINGTON — Fourth-seeded Hoisington-Central Plains (6-14) will challenge Central Kansas League champion Nickerson (19-1) at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the 4A-Division 2 Hoisington baseball regional. Kingman edged Nickerson 7-5 Tuesday to snap the Panthers’ 19-game winning streak. The Panthers swept the Cardinals 11-1 and 4-0 earlier this season.
Russell (9-7) meets Smoky Valley (6-12) in Tuesday’s 3:30 p.m. semifinal.
LARNED — At Garden City, Larned’s baseball team (12-8) will ride a 10-game winning streak against defending 4A state champion Holcomb (14-5) Tuesday. State-ranked Pratt (16-2) meets Hugoton (8-12).
