Indians, Cardinals to send athletes to 3A state track meet

PHILLIPSBURG — The Hoisington High School track and field team qualified in eight individual events, as well as a relay, for the upcoming Class 3A state track and field meet in Wichita.
The Cardinals will be sending entries in six individual events — including two entries in the 300-meter hurdles — as well as an entry in the 4x400 relay.
The Lady Cardinals will compete in two field events, the long jump and the triple jump.
Larned will send two boys to the state meet, including Josh Wise, who qualified for the high jump and the triple jump and Mark Wysong, who will be competing in the 200 dash.
Carrie Kellie qualified for state in both the long jump and triple jump for the Lady Indians. Brittney Perez also made state-qualifying leaps in the triple jump.
Amanda Haberman will compete in the shot put for Larned.
