LARNED — The Larned High School boys’ basketball team picked up their pace in the second half to put away Kiowa County on Tuesday night at the Seventh Annual Gene Keady Basketball Classic 67-40.
The Indians were led by Brayden Smith, who finished with 15 points.
Trey Kraisinger added 13 points.

LARNED — St. John-Hudson’s Dean Wade finished with a game-high 27 points to lead the Tigers in their first-round rout of Ellinwood in the Seventh Annual Gene Keady Basketball Classic.
Zuriel Reyes finished with 14 points, putting in four 3-pointers.
Gera Calleros added 10 points for the Tigers.

LARNED — Macksville led by one point heading into halftime, but outscored Hoisington 17-5 in the third quarter to pull ahead in the first round of the Seventh Annual Gene Keady Basketball Classic.
For the second game in a row, Jordan Welch led Macksville in scoring. The guard finished with 27 points, sinking five 3-pointers.
Simon Miller added 17 points, and Tanner Tranbarger scored 10.
Hoisington was led by Steffan Dolechek, who finished with 16 points.
Trent Schremmer added 11 points for the Cardinals.

Unlike last Friday, Ellinwood finished ahead, beating St. John in the first round of the Seventh Annual Gene Keady Basketball Classic.
The Lady Eagles were led by Rachel Doll, who finished with 10 points.
Kelsea Ward added nine points for Ellinwood.
Alexis Witt led the Lady Tigers, scoring 13 points.
Teresa Christie scored 10 points for St. John.

Rylie Koester added 10 points, and Karisa Schremmer finished with four as the only three scorers for Hoisington.
Macksville was led by Tara Bunker’s 10 points.
Melissa Espino added nine points.
