HAYS — The Hays High Indians scored two second-half goals for a 2-0 Western Athletic Conference soccer victory. The Indians employed a ball-control possession game.
Kallie Leiker scored in the 54th minute for a 1-0 lead. Hays High’s Allison Shubert passed to Cori Isbell for a game-clinching goal in the in the 73rd minute.
Great Bend (3-2, 1-2 WAC) plays Liberal at home Thursday. Hays High (5-2-1, 2-0-1 WAC) has won four out of their last five games with a tie.
