Indians to compete in state tourney

The Larned High School boys’ golf team will compete on Monday morning in the Class 4A state tournament at Cherry Oaks Golf Course in Cheney.
The tournament will start at 8:30.
The Indians won a regional title at Ulysses.
Larned was led by Tague Conrad, who finished fourth overall, shooting a 77.
Michaela Reece finished in the top 10, taking seventh with a 79.
Nick Harkness tied with teammate Matt Reason at 84, Jake Zimmerman shot a 93 and Duskin Bowman finished with a 96.

Eagles set for
2A state tournament
The Ellinwood Eagles travel to Dodge City on Monday morning for the 2A state golf tournament, which starts at 8:30 at Mariah Hills Golf Course.
They finished runners-up at a 2A regional tournament to qualify as a team.
Jared Oelke led Ellinwood with a third-place finish. He shot a 76. Nick Ney fell to fourth place at 76 after a playoff.
Gavin Vink also finished in the top 10, taking eighth with an 86.
Tyler Capps finished at 94, Trey Mosier claimed a 103 and Allex Kowalsky shot a 111.

Oilers take two golfers
to state tourney
Konnor Hickel finished one stroke behind first place at a 2A regional tournament, carding a 74.
He will tee off at 10:10 a.m. at the state tournament at Dodge City’s Mariah Hills Golf Course.
Clayton Ingham finished in ninth place, shooting an 87.
