SALINA— Brooklyn Burkhart and Carly Dreiling finished with top ten performances at Thursday’s JV meet at Salina South.

Burkhart fired a score of 52 just a stroke ahead of Dreiling’s 53. Other Great Bend golfers competiting at Thursday’s JV event include Willow Jones (58) and Lauren Doctor (75). Burkhart, Dreiling and Jones each finished with personal bests.

As a team the Panther JV placed fourth out of seven teams in competition with a score of 238. Hutchinson was the top finisher at 207 while Concordia (222) and Salina Central (225) rounded out the top three.

“We were pleased to have three girls shoot personal bests,” said coach Travis McAtee. “Lauren got her first tournament experience and that’s what we’re trying the build our program on.”
