Kinnamon leads Tigers at 1A competition

EMPORIA — The St. John-Hudson High School boys’ golf team finished sixth overall at the Class 1A golf tournament on Monday at Emporia Municipal Golf Course.
The Tigers finished with a combined 399. WaKeeney finished in first place at 330.
Kade Kinnamon shot an 82, taking home a medal at ninth place.
Spencer Nusser finished at 94, Trey Nelson shot a 108, Zuriel Reyes carded a 115 and Kendra Hacker finished at 160.

Hickel leads Oilers duo
at 2A state tourney
DODGE CITY — Both golfers from Central Plains missed medaling at the 2A state tournament at Mariah Hills Golf Course on Monday.
Konnor Hickel finished with an 89, and Clayton Ingham carded a 111 to end their season.

Indians finish 11th
at state tournament
CHENEY — Larned finished 11th out of 12 teams at the 4A state tournament at Cherry Oaks Golf Course.
The Indians combined for a 335. Wichita Collegiate took first place, shooting a combined 299.
Michael Reece finished 26th overall to lead the Indians, shooting a 78.
Tague Conrad carded an 83 and Matt Reason fell in right behind him at 84.
Nick Harkness shot a 90 with Jake Zimmerman trailing at 91.
Duskin Bowman finished at 100.
