CLAFLIN — Benn Kirmer ran for 167 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Central Plains High School football team over Victoria in a non-district game.
Victoria had 10 more yards of total offense, but the Oilers were able to hold back the Knights when it counted for a 40-20 win.
Quarterback Bryce Steiner completed only one pass for 20 yards to Kirmer.
Nick Schepmann and Skyler Turner each scored a rushing touchdown for the Oilers (7-1 overall, 5-0 district).

STAFFORD — Otis-Bison put the 45-point mercy rule into effect in the third quarter on a Matthew Crotinger kickoff return.
Crotinger also returned a punt for a touchdown.
Otis-Bison (7-1, 4-0) was led by quarterback Trevor Keller, who completed 5 of 10 passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns.
Cougars running back Dylan Wissman recorded a team-leading 57 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also caught a TD pass from Keller.
Ethan Johnson rushed for 37 yards, and quarterback Austin Ceniti completed two passes for Eric Shelton for 40 yards for the Trojans (2-5, 1-2).

STERLING — Hoisington threw three costly interceptions in a defensive battle that ended with a fourth-quarter touchdown by Sterling.
Hoisington (5-3, 1-1) was led by Hagan Hanzlick, who rushed for 89 yards and the Cardinals only touchdown.
“They focused on stopping the run, and we struggled blocking the run, so they were able to hold us back there,” Ingram said.
Sterling (6-1, 2-0) scored by throwing the ball, with quarterback Seth Humphreys completing 7 of 12 passes for 95 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Patrick Ringering scored a 58-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter, and Marcus Brown finished the scoring with a 17-yard scamper into the end zone for the Eagles (1-7, 0-3).
