Larned Middle School volleyball competes
Larned Indians clr NEW

LARNED — Despite improved play, the Larned Middle School volleyball team went through a rugged night against Lyons Middle School.
“During the ‘after match discussion, the consensus was that while the teams are making improvements we need to strive to be more consistent and more focused during our matches,” said Larned Middle School coach Ian Satomi.
The Larned MS 8th grade started out strong leading 6-3.
“However, much like the 7th grade communication stopped and we ended up losing the first game 25-12,” Satomi said. “In the second game we were again ahead, 11-7, but after a series of bad serves and bad passes the girls ended the game 25-16.”
The LMS 7th-grade pulled ahead and looked like they would go on to win.
“However, after a few bad passes the girls quit communicating and lost 25-12, 25-10,” Satomi said.
The Larned C-team started well, but Satomi said a lack of communication and poor serving cost the Indians, who lost 25-7, 25-15.
