HOISINGTON — The end of the regular season didn’t go the way the Hoisington High School baseball team drew it up.
The Cardinals were swept by Marion 15-9 and 10-2 on Tuesday, leaving them 9-11 heading into a Class 4A regional tournament.
Hoisington travels to Kingman, which is 13-7 overall, in the first round of a regional tournament on Monday at 5 p.m. Hoisington, which is coordinating the regional, will host the semifinal and championship rounds.
Larned gets swept

LARNED — The Larned Indians were swept by Nickerson on Tuesday night 12-4 and 3-1.
The Indians host Great Bend today to close out the regular season before competing in a Class 4A regional tournament.
Larned, which is 3-13 overall, will be the No. 8 seed in its regional and will travel to Pratt for a first round game beginning at 5 p.m.
