Great Bend High School has reportedly hired Carrie Minton as the Lady Panthers’ head basketball coach.
Minton just finished her second season as Great Bend’s head softball coach, leading the Lady Panthers to a 17-5 record, including a Class 5A regional championship game loss to Goddard-Eisenhower. She reportedly will remain as Great Bend’s softball coach.
Minton replaces Jason Tatkenhorst, who recently accepted the girls’ head-coaching position at Basehor-Linwood High School after spending 12 seasons as the Lady Panthers’ head coach.
GBHS athletic director Dave Meter could not be reached for comment.
