No. 1 ranked Hoisington crushes Nickerson 64-8

HOISINGTON – Hoisington tailback Hunter Hanzlick rushed for four touchdowns and gained 154 yards to spark the No. 1 ranked Class 3A Cardinals past Nicker-son 64-8 in a Central Kansas League rout Friday night. Hanzlick scored on runs of 1, 8, 18 and 26 yards for a 46-8 halftime lead.
The Cardinals (6-0, 4-0 CKL) rushed for 332 yards. Nickerson (4-2) will play Wichita Trinity (3-3) for Homecoming in the first Class 4A-Division 2 District game Friday night.
Peyton Kuhns rushed for 83 yards and scored Nickerson’s touchdown on a first-half scoring drive. The Panthers lost five fumbles and had a pass intercepted.
Hoisington’s Sean Urban scored on a 75-yard run. Cameron Davis scored on a 5-yard TD pass from Tyler Specht and added a touchdown run and a touchdown on a punt return. Alex Schremmer added a rushing touchdown. Tanner Cassity re-turned a fumble for a touchdown. Sean Urban, Landen Urban, Austin Doonan and Kirk Reisner also received fumbles. Wyatt Pedigo intercepted a pass.
