Otis-Bison girls edge Dighton 52-51

DIGHTON — The Otis-Bison high school girls’ basketball team outscored Dighton 30-19 in the second half to edge the Lady Hornets 52-51 on Tuesday night.
The Lady Cougars (7-8) were led by Hannah Bannister, who scored a game-high 28 points.
Annie Kraisinger added 10 points, and Janel Tammen contributed nine.
Leslie Speer led Dighton, which led 32-22 at halftime, with 13 points.

Hoisington 57, Ness City 37
NESS CITY — Hoisington rushed ahead 21-8 after the first half and held on to win after scoring 20 points in the final quarter on Tuesday evening.
The Lady Cardinals were led by Mallory Flagor, who finished with 20 points.
Jordin Greer added 16 points, and Savannah Rose finished with 11 for Hoisington (10-2).
Kenzie Stoecklein led the Lady Eagles with 11 points.

Central Plains 69, St. Xavier 11
GYPSUM — The Central Plains girls beat St. Xavier to open play at the Southeast of Saline round robin on Monday.
The Lady Oilers advance to 8-2 overall.
Central Plains faces Sterling on Thursday night at 6.

Hoisington 58, Ness City 49

NESS CITY — Hoisington turned in a 20-point fourth quarter to beat Ness City on Tuesday night.
The Eagles led 46-38 heading into the final eight minutes, but the Cardinals outscored Ness City 20-3 to claim the victory.
Cody Stetler led Hoisington, which is ranked No. 5 in Class 3A in the latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association poll, with 17 points, including eight in the third quarter to put Hoisington in a position to come roaring back.
Derrick Kaiser scored 15 points, including five in the final quarter.
Anthony Broeder finished with 10 points including 9-for-10 from the free-throw line.
Ness City, which is ranked No. 8 in 2A, was led by Colin Foos, who finished with 18 points.
