EMPORIA — Great Bend’s Camryn Dunekack captured a 13th-place state medal in her first season of varsity golf.Dunekack posted a career low score (89) at windswept Emporia Municipal Golf Course. Dunekack tied Liberal’s Corey Mein (89) for 13th place.
The Panthers (395) finished ninth. Other Panther scoresd were posted by Halley Sanders, 34th (98); Cailee McMullen, 50th (104), Kaylee Reiser, 50th (104) and McKayla Williams, 65th, (113).
Perennial state champion St. Thomas Aquinas (336) edged Andover High (349) for the 5A team championship.
Salina Central’s Ellie Cobb (71) cruised to the 5A individual title by eight strokes over Mill valley’s Isabella Hadden.
