LIBERAL – Great Bend’s Camryn Dunekack tied for sixth (48) at the Liberal Tournament that featured Western Athletic Conference golf teams. Halley Sanders (50) placed 10th.
Hays High placed first (185) and Great Bend finished third (207).
“The tournament was played in very hot, very windy conditions, but we’re continuing to see some progress,” said Great Bend coach Travis McAtee. “With just two regular season tournaments to go, we’re really trying to focus in on each individual’s weakness and make improvements in that area to help our team score. The last two tournaments have been our best team scoring of the season and we’ll need that trend to continue as we move toward the regional tournament, which we will host this year.”
In the junior varsity division, Great Bend’s Calista Long placed third (57) and Azha Elliott placed fifth (58).
