EL DORADO — The Class 5A Great Bend boys (1-7) will challenge No. 1 ranked Class 4A-Division 2 Wichita Collegiate (8-0) at 3 p.m. Thursday at the 2017 Bluestem Classic at El Dorado.
The Spartans captured the 2016 Class 4A-Division2 state championship last year with a 22-3 record. The Spartans feature a full-court pressure defense.
The Bluestem Classic will continue Jan. 20 and Jan. 21. In the second round, Great Bend will play Gardner-Edgerton (5-2) or Circle (4-4) Jan. 20.
