After officials deemed the baseball field at the Great Bend Sports Complex was too soggy to play Larned High School on Thursday in a doubleheader, the Great Bend Panthers and the Indians will try again today at 4.
Great Bend, 13-4 overall, has won only three of its last six games as it prepares for the regular-season finale against Larned, 14-4.
Both teams are readying for postseason play, which starts next week.
In Class 5A regional play, Great Bend, Goddard-Eisenhower, Hays, Maize South, Newton, Salina Central, Salina South and Valley Center will be competing in two regionals, with the top two seeds getting home berths.
Maize South is the top seed at 17-3 overall, followed by Hays (14-4) and the Panthers.
In Class 4A, Larned is in the same regional as Colby, Goodland, Hoisington/Claflin, Hugoton, Pratt, Russell/Victoria and Ulysses.
