BUCKLIN – Pawnee Heights’ Caleb Karst led the Tigers with a runner-up finish in the shot put (4-21/4) at the Southern Plains-Iroquois Activities Association track meet.
Karst also earned a fourth in the javelin (135-7) and a sixth in the discus (112-9). Todd Hamby placed third in the shot put (43-101/2), third in the discus (118-6) and third in the javelin (152-4). Kade Scott placed third in the long jump (18-101/4) and third in the triple jump (39-7).
Third-places were earned by Cadence Nondorf, high jump (4-8); and Katie Amspacker, shot put (35-91/4).
The Tigers compete at Friday’s 1A Montezuma track regional. Regan Carlson is a returning four-event state qualifier.
