HUTCHINSON — Larned golfer Michael Reece birdied two holes and finished runner-up with a 10-over 82 Monday at The Highlands Country Club. Reece finished one shot behind medalist Gage Scheer of Cheney.
Reece birdied Nos. 11 and 12. But his quadruple bogey eight at No. 18 cost him first place.
Larned’s Tague Conrad was seventh medalist with an 89.
