KIOWA — South Barber quarterback Trevor Rooks threw four touchdown passes and rushed for two scores to spark the Chieftains past Stafford’s football team 52-6 Friday in Eight-Man 2, District 7.
Trae Rathgeber and Cole Coggins each caught two touchdown passes. Rooks passed for 135 yards and rushed for 106 yards. Rathgeber scored on a 70-yard kickoff return and intercepted two passes for South Barber (6-1, 3-0).
Caleb Hildebrand scored a touchdown for Stafford (3-4, 2-1), which plays Bucklin (1-5, 1-2) Oct. 20. Hildebrand had 13 tackles and Kleyton Schreiber, Ethan Hildebrand recovered fumbles.
