ST. JOHN 65, OTIS_BISON 41
ST. JOHN — St. John’s all-stater Dean Wade scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 65-41 victory over Otis-Bison in a Central  Prairie league basketball game.
Chase Fisher had 11 points. Cole Kinnamon scored nine points with four assists and three steals. Gera Calleros and Jorge Calleros each dished out three assists.
The Tigers (19-0, 7-0 CPL) captured the Central Prairie League title.  The two-time defending state champion Tigers are top-seeded in the Inman Class 2A substate. St. John plays Medicine Lodge  Monday at home.
Hayden Maier and Kyle Patrick led the Cougars with 16 points. Otis-Bison dropped to 12-8 and 4-4 in league. The Cougars are top-seeded at the Pratt-Skyline Class 1A-Div. 1 substate.

CENTRAL PLAINS 52, ELLINWOOD 21
ELLINWOOD — No. 3 ranked Class 2A Central Plains roared past Ellinwood 52-21 in a Central Prairie League basketball game. The Oilers led 27-2 after one quarter.
Michael Ryan led the Oilers with 23 points. The Oilers led 46-16 after three quarters, triggering a running clock in the fourth quarter. Braeden Crites finished with 11 points and nine boards for the Oilers.
Central Plains (17-3, 7-1 CPL)  wrapped up second place in the league and secured the No. 1 seed in the Class 2A Claflin substate next week. The Oilers play Smith Center (6-13) at home Monday.
Leading Ellinwood scorer Marc Waite and Nathan Monday each scored four points. No. 2 seeded Ellinwood (12-8, 5-3 CPL) plays Ell-Saline (8-11) Monday at home in the Claflin substate.

HODGEMAN CO. 54, MACKSVILLE 51
JETMORE — Kyle Hayes scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Hodgeman County past Macksville 54-51 in a hard-fought non-league basketball game.
Macksville’s Diego Delgadillo scored 19 points and Brigdon Russell 15 points. Delgadillo and Russell each hit five 3-pointers. Macksville (6-14) plays Fairfield (5-15) at Skyline High School Monday in the Class 1A-Div. I substate.

STAFFORD — Stafford High’s Derek McClure scored a school record 53 points to spark the Trojans past Pretty Prairie 96-80 in a high-scoring Heart of the Plains League basketball game. The Trojans scored 63 points in the second half. Ethan Johnson added 16 points.
Stafford (9-10) plays Cunningham (2-18) at Ashland Tuesday in the Ashland Class 1A-Div. 1 basketball substate.
Jordan Albright led the Bulldogs with 26 points and Nick Lampe added 22 points.
