WAC Tournament Bowling results from Liberal

Panther Girls WAC Champions

On Thursday afternoon the Great Bend Panther bowling teams traveled to Liberal for the Western Athletic Conference Tournament. The Lady Panthers dominated the day by winning 19 of the possible 21 points. Junior Allie Brodrick led the attack by bowling the top place series of 546 pins. Senior Hanna Pfeifer was close behind as she claimed second place with a series of 545. Junior Kenzy Black rounded out the scoring for the Lady Panthers as she bowled a 500 series which was good enough to claim the 5th place medal. The final point total for the season was as follows: Great Bend 68 points, Garden City 46 points, Dodge City 44 points, and Liberal with 16 points.
In boys action, the Great Bend Panthers came up short and finished just short for a hard fought second place finish. The Panther boys were led in scoring by Sophomore Kameron Keener and his 4th place series of 566and Freshman Jordan Black’s series of 538 pins. The final point total for the WAC on the season was as follows: Garden City 55 points. Great Bend 52 points, Liberal 41 points and Dodge City with 26 points.
