HAYS — Junior Maddie Werth carded a 107 and sophomore McKenna Mauler finished at 110 for Great Bend High School on Monday during the Class 5A state golf tournament at Smoky Hill Country Club.
Mauler advanced to the state meet on the heels of capturing ninth place last Monday at the regional meet at Salina Municipal. It was her first state berth.
Werth was competing in her second straight state meet.
