SALINA — McKenna Mauler, a sophomore, qualified for the Class 5A state tournament for the first time and Great Bend teammate Maddie Werth qualified for a second time during a regional at the par-70 Salina Municipal on Monday.
Mauler, a junior, finished in the top 10 on the leaderboard, coming in at No. 9 after carding a 93.
Werth recorded a 102 to become a state qualifier for the second straight year.
Mauler and Werth will be competing in the state tournament at Smoky Hill Country Club in Hays on Monday.
