ST. JOHN 69, CHASE 15 – Quade Smith’s half-court shot highlighted St. John’s 69-15 non-league basketball victory over Chase Tuesday. Smith’s miracle gave the Tigers a 36-9 halftime lead.

St. John’s Brody Vieux scored 22 points and Braxton Alpers (12) and Smith (11) scored in double figures. The Tigers (8-7) used effective full-court defense that forced 43 Chase turnovers to score multiple baskets.

Chase’s Humberto Rincon scored five points and hauled down 18 rebounds.
