WICHITA – Great Bend Quicksilver (10-7-1) won four games at a weekend softball tournament.
ECLIPSE 8, QUICKSILVER 2 – Quicksilver dropped an 8-2 game to Eclipse. Quicksilver's Denver Ringo singled twice and drove home Alyssa McCauley for Quicksilver's lone RBI.
QUICKSILVER 5, BLUE ARMY 4 – Quicksilver's Mikala Minton singled in Baylie Kelly with the game-winning fourth-inning run. Chayla Prendergast singled in Ringo. McCauley's 2-run homer scored Kya Behr. Mazouch's single scored Ringo.
QUICKSILVER 6, HAYS THUNDER 2 – Quicksilver pitchers Brynn Tarlton and Prendergast combined for a solid 6-2 victory.
Kya Behr scored on a passed ball and Ringo singled in Kamryn Koelsch for a 2-0 lead. Hays' Avery Montgomery drove Brynn Schoepf and Molly Helget for a 2-2 tie.
Prendergast scored on an error for a 3-2 lead. Behr followed Mikala Minton's home run with a 2-run homer that brought home Camdyn Post for a 6-2 lead.
QUICKSILVER 10, SPIN TECH 2 – Quicksilver's Josie Blevins drove home three runs and McCauley, Prendergast and Kelly drove in runs for a 10-2 victory. Behr and Koelsch scored on errors. Camdyn Post scored on a passed ball. Koelsch scored on a wild pitch.
QUICKSILVER 4, KANSAS RENEGARDES 4 (TIE) – Quicksilver's McCauley drove in three runs and Behr drove in a run in a shortened 3-inning tie. Behr singled in Tarlton. McCauley drove home Prendergast, Minton and Behr in a 4-run second inning.
Kansas Renegade Emma Zurfluh drove in two runs.
QUICKSILVER 10, DERBY NITRO 9 – Great Bend’s Behr delivered a 2-run single to score Ringo and Minton to spark Quicksilver past Derby Nitro 10-9. Quicksilver rallied from a 5-0 deficit.
Behr drove in three runs with three singles. Tarlton drove in two runs. Behr scored on Koelsch’s single to start a 3-run first inning. McCauley and Kelly scored on groundouts.
Behr singled in Minton and Camdyn Post scored on McCauley’s single in a 2-run second inning.
Tarlton’s triple scored Kelly and Prendergast to ignite a 5-run third inning. Tarlton scored on Ringo’s double. Behr’s single scored Ringo and Minton after Camdyn Post executed a perfect bunt single.
Derby’s Emily Harding drove in two runs.
