Tiger track qualifies five

Tigers, Trojans compete at Pratt track meet

PRATT – Stafford’s Joshua Hildebrand swept the javelin (143-0) and discus (121-9) at Tuesday’s Pratt Skyline Track Invitational.

St. John’s Caden McCandless won the long jump (20-21/4). Stafford’s Joshua Harter won the shot put (42-83/4).

Runner-up finishes were earned by Quade Smith, 800 (2:02.19) and 1,600 (5:05); Stafford’s Harter, discus (120-7); and the Tigers’ 3,200-meter relay (8:53.35) with Jace Reyes, Alan Valenzuela, Braxton Alpers and Smith.

GIRLS DIVISION – St. John’s girls earned a pair of first-place medals as Lydia Reed won the 800 (2:43.47) and Mia Meyer won the high jump (5-0).

Stafford’s Lety Costa won the 3,200 (14:16.14).

St. John’s trio of relays placed second – 400-meter (53.97) with Heidi Fisher, Reed, Addy Ward, Reagan Bonner; 1,600 relay (4:26.39) with Bonner, Meyer, Heidi Fisher, Reed; and 3,200 relay (11:40.85) with Heidi Fisher, Teresa Miller, Bonner, Reed.

Other runner-up finishers were Stafford’s Taylor Denio, high jump (4-10); Mariah Sanders, long jump (14-111/2); and St. John’s Bonner, triple jump (31-01/2).
