ST. JOHN – The St. John Tigers converted 11 fourth-quarter free throws for a 45-35 non-league basketball victory over Hoisington.
St. John was sparked by Mason Osborne with 14 points and Collin Halling with 13 points. Hoisington (7-8) was led by Kyle Haxton and Braxton Donovan with seven points apiece. The Tigers (11-3, 4-0 CPL) meets No. 1 ranked Central Plains (14-0, 4-0) for first place in the Central Prairie League Friday at St. John.
The Cardinals draw CKL co-leader Haven for Homecoming Thursday.
