Streck competes at KGA Match Play

WINFIELD — Great Bend's Cole Streck finished a successful KGA Junior Match Play championship with two wins and a 13th-place finish Thursday at Quail Ridge Golf Course.

Streck downed No. 1 seed Caleb Kimmel of Olathe, 1-up, for 13th-place.  Streck defeated Shawnee's Jacob Fratzel 6 and 5 in the third round.

Wellington's Lucas Scheufler rallied from a 3-down deficit with a 1-up victory in 19 holes over Louisburg's Calvin Dillon to capture the championship.
