Tigers' Alec Carlson wins four events

KINSLEY – Last year’s 1A state triple jump champion Alec Carlson started on fire with four gold medals at the Kinsley Track Invitational. Carlson swept the high jump (6-2), long jump (22-13/4), triple jump (43-83/4) and the javelin (151-1).

Tiger Davin Hamby won the shot put (41-103/4) and placed runner-up in the javelin (142-6). Brady Carlson was runner-up in the high jump (5-4) and triple jump (38-41/2).

Pawnee Heights (104) won the team title, four points ahead of Pratt Skyline (100) and Kinsley (100).

Last year’s state qualifier Abby Hands won the shot put (32-4) and placed second in the discus (82-31/4). Joselyn Cordero won the 300-meter hurdles (53.45).
