LYONS — Hoisington scored 17 consecutive points to roar pat Lyons 66-47 in Tuesday's Central Kansas League basketball game.
Red-hot Bralen Thompson converted six 3-pointers and scored 23 points. Mason Haxton (12), and Drew Nicholson (11) scored in double figures. Hoisington converted 11 of 17 3-pointers for its best perimeter shooting of the season.
The Cardinals (16-4, 7-2) clinched second place in the CKL. The No. 2 seed Cardinals will play Concordia in Monday's Beloit 3A basketball substate.
Lyons dropped to 15-5, 6-3 in the CKL.
