Velocity Volleyball Club 14s place at tourney

On March 19 and 20, the Velocity Volleyball Club 14’s (8th grade) team placed in a tie for 5th overall at the Heart of America Junior Regional Championships in Kansas City in the 14’s division. The Velocity Volleyball Club 14’s team competed against 52 other junior volleyball league teams from Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri. As their season comes to a close they are currently ranked #12 out of 168 teams in their respective division. In addition, Velocity Volleyball Club teams have competed in 34 tournaments and played in 330 matches this club season. As a club, they have been awarded 19 team medals for tournament championship awards.
The Heart of America Region of USA Volleyball provides a platform for competition for the area youth. Velocity’s club philosophy is to create an opportunity for area girls to have the opportunity to play and improve in the sport they love in an effort to increase success in their respective school programs. The Heart of America Volleyball Association is committed to creating and upholding traditions of excellence through volleyball, focusing on responsibility and accountability and Velocity Volleyball endorses and encourages those beliefs.  
The club season is winding down and Velocity Volleyball club is finishing out their season which runs from November-April. The club consists of 45 girls ranging in age from 7-16. The athletes reside in Great Bend, Ellinwood, Lyons, Larned, Holyrood, Otis-Bison, Claflin, LaCrosse and Hoisington.
