WAUPUN, Wis. — Viroqua, Wis. rallied for five consecutive wins and beat Glenwood-Lowry, Minn. 4-1 Sunday to capture the Central Plains American Legion Class AA National Baseball Regional.
Justin Amundson scored on a third inning groundball by Michael Gruber. Amundson singled twice.
Tyler Crandall’s two-out RBI-single scored Tommy Crandall with the game-winner in the sixth inning. Viroqua scored two seventh inning runs. Tommy Crandall added an RBI single.
Viroqua’s Jacob Huebsch was named Most Valuable Player. Viroqua’s Huebsch, Tommy Crandall, Tyler Crandall, Zach Drake and Dalton Burckhardt were named all-tournament.
Also named to the all-tournament team were Larned’s Ladon Erway and Tyler Stelter; Menasha’s Kelvin Medrano, Tyler Nelson and Chris Van Handel; Glenwood-Lowry’s Austin Ver Steeg, Ryder Link and Colin Richards; and Waupun’s Spencer Beek and Caleb Sauer; and Roger Riley of Southern Nevada.
Larned won the tournament’s sportmanship award.
• VIROQUA, WIS. 4, MENAHSA, WIS. 2 — Andrew Kleiber drove in two runs and Tommy Crandall added an RBI. Dalton Knaack drove in Tyler Nelson twice with sacrifice flies.
• MENAHSA, WIS. 6, GLENWOOD-LOWRY, MINN. 5 — Glenwood-Lowry led 5-4 in the 6th inning. Menasha pushed a run across in the seventh. Both teams finished with 11 hits. Glenwood-Lowry struck out 10 times and left 12 runners on base.

Andrew Rangel scored on an error to start a three-run fifth. Roger Riley and Brendan Thorpe delivered RBI singles. Dominik Tavares forced home Riley on a bases-loaded hit by pitch. Andrew Rangel had three hits. Jathan Sibal drove in a run and Wold added a sacrifice fly in the seventh.
