MANHATTAN — Kansas State fans will have numerous opportunities to preview the 2011 Wildcats prior to the Sept. 3 football opener as three television networks across the state and region will air the Wildcats’ preseason kickoff special beginning Saturday.
The 2011 Kansas State Football Preseason Special, produced by K-State, will air three times on FSN and will also be broadcast numerous times on Cox Kansas 22 and Metro Sports.
The one-hour show will air on Fox Sports Net at 1 p.m., on Saturday, August 27, and will then be replayed at 7 p.m., on Sunday, Aug. 28, and again at 11 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 2.
Cox Kansas 22 will air the preseason special on six occasions beginning at 5:30 p.m., on Aug. 29, while Metro Sports will also air the show four times beginning at 11 p.m., on Aug. 28.
The 2011 Kansas State Football Preseason Special is co-hosted by the voice of the Wildcats, Wyatt Thompson, and head coach Bill Snyder and includes an inside look at the Wildcat offense, defense and special teams as well as an analysis of the upcoming 2011 schedule and individual player features.
The Bill Snyder television show, Kansas State’s weekly football show, makes its season debut on FSN on Sunday, Sept. 4, in its original 10:30 p.m. time slot. Both Cox Kansas 22 and Metro Sports will also have replays of the weekly show throughout each week.
The Wildcats open the 2011 season Sept. 3 against Eastern Kentucky in the third annual K-State Family Reunion. Tickets for the opener, which kicks off at 6:10 p.m., are going fast as fewer than 3,500 seats remain available. The game will also be broadcast live across the globe in high definition on K-StateHD.TV beginning with K-State Gameday, featuring former Kansas State and NFL linebacker Mark Simoneau, at 5:15 p.m.
