Holste & Bowers LLC, a locally owned accounting firm in Great Bend, announced the addition of Colleen Burton to the professional staff. Burton brings more than 26 years of experience in accounting and business administration.

Burton earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in 1986, with a double major in accounting and business administration. After graduation, she worked as an accountant and office manager for a local corporation for 26 years until the business was purchased by another company.
“Unlike private accounting, public accounting offers the opportunity to meet new people and become more aware of what is going on in the community,” Burton said. “I look forward to serving businesses in central Kansas and will enjoy the diverse range of projects I get to work on.”
Burton is a lifetime resident of Great Bend. She and her husband reside in the country, and have two adult children. They enjoy outdoor activities, especially those involving the lake and boats, and watching sporting events of all kinds.
